After she acted in the Hindi film World Cupp 2011 (2009) and Wanted, she quit the cinema industry because her family was initially against her acting. She had no supporters at that time because of her family's pressure, so she continued as fashion designer and made TV commercials – both print and visual. Some were Fair N Glow Soap, Chevorlate, Gee Pee Mobile, Horlicks, Kinetic Honda, etc.[13]
After a break, she re-joined the cast of Sakthi, a Tamil soap opera on Sun TV. This serial was fully remade by a Hindi serial Dil Se Di Dua... Saubhagyavati Bhava? and she played the lead role. The show premiered on 2nd June 2014 and the last show aired on 27th March 2015 and ended with 205 episodes. This show was very popular, what is referred to as a "mega serial".
In 2015, Manesha[14] signed on for two movies, Telugu film Udyanavanam 2[15][16][17] and Tamil film Tea Kadai Bench, it was in post production. In 2016, she signed another two Telugu movies Anthuleni Prema and Sita Rama nka Bahaghara Kali Jugare (Odia)..[18][19]Sitaramula Kalyanam Chuthamu Raarandi (Telugu).
In 2017, her first Odia movie Sita Rama nka Bahaghara Kali Jugare (Odia) was released[20][21][22] opposite Sabyasachi Mishra. She mesmerized the audience with her character and received a huge response from the Odia Cinema Industry. The Telugu version of Sitaramula Kalyanam Chuthamu Raarandi (Telugu)[23] will be released soon.
