Diljott has always been passionate about Cinema. Besides being brilliant in academics, she wanted to pursue acting and singing and was always an all rounder ever since childhood. She has also attended Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares, Mumbai and is a trained Kathak, western and a folk dancer. After working with ace photographer Dabboo Ratanani, she featured in various advertisements such as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Larsen and Toubro, for various clothing brands and on the cover of various national magazines and went on to do the films. She can speak English, Punjabi, Hindi fluently and though Punjabi films will always be her first love, she would love to be a part of different Cinemas. Her acting and singing skills are garnering her a lot of appreciation.

She featured in the Punjabi song ‘Patiala Peg’ opposite Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh, which became a hit track worldwide. She also did a film as a lead ‘Idiot Boys’ in 2014, which got critical acclaim. Diljott’s films as a lead actress ‘Teshan’ opposite Happy Raikoti (Released on 23 September 2016), and ‘Yaar Annmulle 2’(Released on 6 January 2017) got huge public response. Her upcoming Film 'Punjabi By Nature', directed by Gurbir Grewal shall release in 2018. Her Hollywood film '5 Weddings', also featuring Nargis Fakhri and Raj Kummar Rao shall release in 2018. Her single track song as a singer 'Tere Rang' released on 9 February 2017.^[13] This song has also been selected as a playback song for the Hollywood film '5 Weddings'.^[14] Recently her new film titled 'Nanak' has been announced, produced by Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty which shall release in 2018.^[15] Her next single track song 'Akh Mataka' sung by her released on 10 July 2017.^[16] She is a star performer on stage as well and her recent performance at Virasat International Punjabi Film Festival and Awards, Melbourne, Australia in 2016 was hugely appreciated ^[17] Her recent song 'Maa Meri' that released in November 2017 is a thanksgiving ode to the mothers and has been appreciated all over.

Diljott is a beauty with brains. Born to a Punjabi family, with both parents as Senior doctors and elder brother an officer, she has always been a blessed child. She has an outstanding academic record. Diljott has done her Masters in Human Rights and Duties from Panjab University, Chandigarh and stood first in the University for which she was honored with a University Gold medal. She was also felicitated with a University Gold medalist for standing first in the University in Graduation also, Bachelor of Arts (Majors in Psychology and Journalism), Panjab University, Chandigarh.^[18] During her Masters, she carried research work and prepared a thesis on 'Human Rights of the Differently Abled' and another research project was done on 'Difficulties faced by the Elderly', which were published as research papers in the International Journals. Having been a University Gold medalist twice, she has done the Post Graduate Course in NGO Management from Amity University and has also done a Project Cycle Management Course from NGO Management School, Geneva, Switzerland. She has also done a Certificate Course in Computer and Information Technology. Besides this, she has done her schooling from Delhi Public School, Chandigarh. She was awarded the Gold Medal for standing first in the school in All India Secondary School Certificate Examination(Class XII) in Humanities stream. Diljott was awarded the Certificate of Merit for being an All India topper in CBSE in Information Technology in Class X.

Having a great academic and extra curricular profile, she was selected to be the part of Human Rights Youth Training at United Nations Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland. Diljott owns great leadership skills and has held various positions during her college and University days and she led with grace and responsibility. During her graduation, she was appointed as the Political Secretary of the Student Council of the College and was also made the Student Editor of the English section of the College magazine. Her interest for social work made her to be chosen as the Secretary of the NSS (National Service Scheme) Wing of her college twice. She was also appointed as the Head Girl of her school for two years during her academic days. She has also been very active in sports.^[19]

Diljott is passionate about serving the humanity and contributing her bit to the society.Her interest of serving the society and doing social work motivated her to pursue the Masters in Human Rights, in which she topped in the University and was awarded with a Gold Medal. The dissertation prepared by her on 'Differently Abled: A brief Study' also got selected and published in the International Journal of Humanities and Social Studies('The IJHSS' Journal, Volume IV, Issue II, February 2016). Her another research paper on 'The Study of the Elderly Lives: Their Concerns and Suggestions' got selected and published in the International Journal of Research in Social Sciences (ISSN 2249-2496, Volume 7,Issue 9,2017).Even during her college, she was an active participant of NSS (National Service Scheme) and was made the political secretary of the NSS twice whereby different camps, cleanliness drives, plantation events were organized.She has been associated with various social campaigns and NGO's and works towards the betterment of everyone. She is associated with NGO Arrive Safe, working on the road safety and is also associated with Rotary Midtown, Chandigarh for spreading Cancer awareness in the region.
