Vasundhara Das is a talented actress and playback singer. She made her acting debut with the film, Hey Ram which also featured Kamal Hassan and her singing debut began with A.R. Rahman’s Tamil film, Mudhalvan. Vasundhara started her classical music training at the age of six and soon was recognized for her talent. She is also the founder of a band, Arya which features musicians from India and abroad. The band makes music ranging from Hindustani classical to pop, rock and fusion. The genre of their music is popularly known as World Music. She is the main vocalist in the band. Vasundhara sings in as many as eight languages - Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Tamil, English, Malayalam and Spanish.
