Todd Duncan Astle (born 24 September 1986) is a New Zealand cricketer who plays for the New Zealand national cricket team. Domestically, he plays for Canterbury. He was born in Palmerston North. He is the son of Alec Astle who played first-class cricket fleetingly for Central Districts in the late 1970s.

Domestic career
Todd was an overseas professional for Aberdeenshire C.C. for the 2008 and 2009 seasons, starring with bat and ball. The club had a historic season in 2009, winning the SNCL Premier League and the Scottish Cup.
International career
He made his Test debut for the Blackcaps against Sri Lanka on 25 November 2012. He scored 35 runs in the second innings in a key partnership with Ross Taylor of 107. He took his first wicket also in the second innings by removing Prasanna Jayawardene.
He made his Twenty20 International debut for New Zealand against Pakistan on 15 January 2016.
In October 2017, he was named in New Zealand's One Day Internationals (ODI) squad for their series against India. However, ahead of ODI series, he was ruled out due to an injury.[7] He made his ODI debut for New Zealand against the West Indies on 20 December 2017.[8]
In March 2018, he was named in New Zealand's Test squad for their series against England, replacing Mitchell Santner, who was ruled out due to injury.[9]
In May 2018, he was one of twenty players to be awarded a new contract for the 2018–19 season by New Zealand Cricket.[10] It was the first time he was awarded a central contract.[11]
