Sophie Chowdhury is a UK born Indian singer who started performing from a very young age. She started participating in several competitions right from when she was a kid in school. Sophie was discovered by the highly acclaimed music director, Biddu at the age of thirteen. She started her career by singing back up for singers like Shweta Shetty and Alisha Chinai.

After completing her education, Sophie set off to Mumbai and joined MTV as a VJ and soon was hosting award shows and events for corporate biggies like Tata, Godrej and Airtel. She made her singing debut with the all girl band, Sansara and a self written song titled Yeh Dil Sun Raha Hai.

On the solo front, she released her debut private album in 2003 by the name of Sophie and Dr. Love. A year later she released her second album titled Babylove. She made her Bollywood debut with the David Dhawan film, Shaadi No. 1. Sophie is also the recipient of the Lycra MTV Style Award for Most Stylish Female in Music.
