Nikhil Advani Biography of Nikhil Advani : Not many would have guessed that a Masters Degree holder in Chemistry would become such a big name in Bollywood. Nikhil Advani was born in a well-to-do family from Mumbai. His father runs a pharmaceutical business while his mother is an advertising professional. Nikhil started in Bollywood by assisting director Karan Johar in blockbusters like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'. He then went on to direct his first film under Dharma banner titled 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' starring Shahrukh Khan. The film turned out to be one of the biggest hits and received rave reviews from all corners of the world, also winning six Filmfare Awards. Nikhil's next film 'Salaam-e-Ishq' that boasted of a huge star cast, sadly tanked at the box office and could only garner mixed reviews. Similar was the fate of his recent release, 'Chandni Chowk To China' starring Akshay Kumar. Nikhil is now working on two of his projects one of which would be starring Akshay Khanna.
