Mandira Bedi Biography of Mandira Bedi : Mandira Bedi was born in a Bombay based Punjabi family on April 15, 1972. She did her schooling in the Cathedral & John Connon High School and gained popularity at an early age by playing the leading role in the widely-watched television serial 'Shanti'. After 'Shanti', she was offered to play a supporting role in the blockbuster film 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'. The movie became a blockbuster and everybody in the industry started recognizing Mandira Bedi. Fame though came to Mandira a few years later when she became a house hold name by compering 'Extra Innings' during the 2003 cricket world cup. She glamorized the boring male-dominated cricket world and enchanted everybody with her style and looks. Later, she married Bollywood film director, Raj Kaushal and also starred in movies like 'Shaadi Ka Ladoo' and 'Meerabai Not out'. She also did a negative role in ''Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and worked in a Tamil film titled 'ManMadhan'.
