Born in Ahmedabad and now based in Mumbai, Lalitya Munshaw grew up with clear inclination towards music. Her fascination with music started at the age of six. Lalitya holds Master Degrees in Hindustani Classical Music and English literature.  Her classical training proved to be a platform for her foray into the musical territories ranging from Fusion to Bhajans, Film Songs to Indi-pop, Ghazals to Lullabies.

Having developed her own unique expressive style with her soulful and melodious singing, she has become a popular performing and recording artist on the Indian as well as international circuit. Her critically acclaimed performances of Bhajans with Anup Jhalota, Fusion with like Prem Joshua, Kash Kale, Ranjit Barot, Ajay Pohankar, Louis Banks, Shiva Mani and Ghazals with Indian maestros like Hari Haran, Ghulam Ali, Pankaj Udhas and many more solo performances encompassing Indi Pop, Bollywood, Fusion, Bhajan, Ghazal, Folk, etc. have been greatly appreciated.

She has traveled across the world in her quest for music and spirituality which has contributed immensely in broadening her vision and creativity.

Born of connoisseur parents, Lalitya feels eternally grateful to God for everything that He has bestowed on her. With His blessings she now continues on her journey of creating divine music.

After the success of her sensational Fusion album Maika Piya, Indi pop Rum Gaya Dil, Lalitya is back again to rock the streets This time she is releasing a new Sufi and Romantic album ‘Rab Piya’ before Valentine’s Day. ‘Gayatri Mantra’ will be her next release in the devotional category.
