Atif Aslam Biography of Atif Aslam : Atif Aslam is a Pakistani pop singer with a huge fan following in the Indian sub-continent and Bollywood. He also holds a Bachelor in Computer Science degree. He started singing in the college canteen, when his friends urged him to compete in a singing competition. He did, and won. Ever since his singing has improved manifold. After the competition, he and his friends formed a band named Jal which has come out to become Pakistan's most celebrated bands. He played the part of lead singer of the band. The band shot to fame with the release of their track Aadat which was aired on all major radio stations in Pakistan. He made his entry in Bollywood with the movie Kalyug and has sung for many movies since. Though during this time he had controversies emerged between him and his band. He now works solo and has three hit albums to his credit. Though the tracks have been under copyright issues in Pakistani courts on Jal's complaint, they have topped the charts for many a weeks. He has received various national and international awards in the category of Best Playback Singer, Best Pop star, Best Album etc. After his entry in Bollywood, he has toured and performed in many national and international concerts.
