Nakash and Sargam, the duo composer team met each other in the year 2007. Both belong to families with musical backgrounds.
Sargam’s father being a very famous devotional poet by the name of Saral Kavi and Nakash’s father also having been a singer and a stage artist in Mangalore during his early days.
Sargam Jassu started his career as a sound engineer under IIFA award winning sound engineer Satish Gupta. He then moved to assisting renowned music composer Amar Mohile for movies like Sarkaar, Sarkaar Raj etc.
Nakash Aziz started his career as a singer and was already doing shows at the age of thirteen. He participated in many television singing competitions beginning with Awaaz Ki Duniyaa by Mahendra Kapoor in the year 1998 followed by many other reality shows like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Indian Idol.
He has also sung for the mush awaited Telugu movie LEADER for Filmfare Award winning composer Mickey. J. Meyer.
Nakash-Sargam also writes lyrics to most of their songs. They arrange and programme their own songs and also work with other composers. They are currently doing a Marathi movie to be produced by Smita Thackeray and directed by her son, Rahul Thackeray and Herumb Khot.
