Syed Ahmed Shah also known as Patras Bokhari was an Urdu humourist, essayist, broadcaster and diplomat from Pakistan. He is best known for his humorous writings in Urdu.
Patras received his early education from Peshawar and he moved to join Government College, Lahore. After completing his Masters (English) he joined as the lecturer at the same college.
Patras Bokhari left Government College to study at Cambridge University, to complete a Tripos in English. His volume of essays, Patras Kay Mazameen (Essays of Patras) is considered as an asset in Urdu humor.
