Leon Lederman is famous for his writings such as The God Particle: If the Universe Is the Answer, What Is the Question?, From Quarks to the Cosmos, Portraits of Great American Scientists, Symmetry and the Beautiful Universe, What We\'ll Find Inside the Atom, and Quantum Physics for Poets. He is an American American experimental physicist and Nobel Prize in Physics laureate. He is Director Emeritus at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab) in Batavia, Illinois. He is the Founder of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy, in Aurora, Illinois.

Leon Lederman studied at the City College of New York and received his PhD from Columbia University. He became a professor at Columbia University. He moved to teach at the University of Chicago and then at the Illinois Institute of Technology where he currently serves as the Pritzker Professor of Science.
