Junot Diaz is a Dominican-American writer. His works include The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, Drown, This is how you Lose Her, The Sun, The Moon, The Stars, Invierno, Otravida, Otravez, Flaca, Nilda, Wildwood, Alma, The Pura Principle, The Money, Miss Lora, Monstro, The Cheater\'s Guide to Love, Summer Love, Overheated, One Year: Storyteller-in-Chief, and "Apocalypse: What Disasters Reveal. He currently works as the creative-writing professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and fiction editor at Boston Review.

Junot Diaz was born in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. He moved to the U.S and attended Kean College, New Jersey and Rutgers College where he studied English. He worked at Rutgers University Press. He completed a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.  His stories have been published in a number of magazines such as The New Yorker, Story, and The Paris Review.
