Jennifer Love Hewitt is an author, actor, television director, singer and lyricist. She grew up in Nolanville in Texas with her brothers. They were raised by their mother, Patricia Mae, a speech-language pathologist. She went to Los Angeles to pursue a career in both singing and acting.

Hewitt’s first break as a child actor came on Disney Channel for the Kids Incorporated show. She played Pierce Brosnan’s daughter in an NBC series, Running Wilde.
