Ghulam M. Felix was born in Amritsar, India. He is known by the name Qasir Amritsari and is an acclaimed Urdu language poet and writer. In 1972, Qasir Amritsari published a completely revised book Naaya Geet Gao (Sing a new song, a book of Christian hymns originally published in 1955 under the name HAMD-ULLAH (Praise God)). In 1994, his book The blasphemy law was published in 3 volumes. In 2000, Felix was the secretary of the Urdu Literature Board of Pakistan which is chaired by Bishop Andrew Francis of Multan.
