Dushyant Kumar was born on September 27, 1931 in Bijnor District of Uttar Pradesh, India. He is a known poet of modern Hindi-Urdu literature. He was also a Dramatist, Critic and Ghazal writer. Dushyant did his M.A. in Hindi Literature from the Allahabad University. His began his writing career at Allahabad with dramas, poems, Ghazals and short stories. Some of his remarkable works include Ek Kanth Vishpayi Mann Ke Kon published in 1963. He gained accomplishment in the field of Hindi and Urdu Literature. Some of his writing work includes novels like Chote-Chote Sawal, Aangan mein ek Vriksha, Dohri Zindagi, Mann ke Kon, Saaye mein Dhup, Aur Masiha Mar gaya, and a number of poems and poetic drama. His heart-warming poems are popular for their simplicity. Many of his shers, shayaris and ghazals are acclaimed in the Urdu and Hindi literary spheres.
