Aldous Huxley was born in 1894 into the illustrious and gifted Huxley family. He was a poet, travel writer, essayist, screenwriter, scriptwriter, humanist, pacifist, and satirist. He was born in 1894 in Surrey in the UK. His father was Leonard Huxley, a noted writer and biographer. His mother was the niece of famous poet, Mathew Arnold.

Huxley attended Eton College and Balliol College in Oxford. He went on to teach French in Eton College where legendary writer George Orwell and famous historian Steven Runciman were among his students. His most famous novels are Crome Yellow, Antic Hay, Those Barren Leaves, Point Counter Point, Brave New World, Eyeless in Gaza, After Many a Summer, Time Must Have a Stop, Ape and Essence, The Genius and the Goddess, and Island. His poetry collections include The Burning Wheel, Jonah, The Defeat of Youth and Other Poems, Leda, Arabia Infelix and Other Poems, and The Cicadas and Other Poems. His travelogues include Along the Road: Notes and Essays of a Tourist, Jesting Pilate: The Diary of a Journey, and Beyond the Mexique Bay: A Traveller\'s Journey. He wrote a host of children’s fiction and plays such as The Crows of Pearblossom, The Travails and Tribulations of Geoffrey Peacock, The Discovery, The World of Light, and  Now More Than Ever.
